This tutorial is a step-by-step guide that will show you how to use the YOOgallery module. After reading this tutorial you will be able to install the module and show images in it.

Install the YOOgallery module
Follow this tutorial to install the YOOgallery module in your Joomla! installation.Copy your images
Copy the images to a folder in the Joomla images path, e.g. YOUR_JOOMLA_ROOT/images/stories/YOURIMAGEFOLDER/.
Setting up the module
Now that you installed the YOOgallery module you can configure your module so that it will show on the frontend of your Joomla site.
- Go to Extensions → Module manager and click on the YOOgallery module.
- Give your module a name in the Title field. (By the way: It is always helpful to choose a name that will later help you distinguish this module in the list of other installed modules in the module manager.)
- Enable the module.
- Choose a position in which you want your YOOgallery module to appear. The given positions depend on the template you use on your site.
- With the access level you can choose to show the module to either all or only to a certain group of website users.
Setting up the module parameters
- Select the Source Directory where the images that you want to show in your YOOgallery are located. In this example we copied the images to the path /images/stories/YOURIMAGEFOLDER/.
- Select a style which defines how the gallery will be presented on your website.
- Select the Thumbnail width and height. The YOOgallery will create the thumbnails of your images automatically.
- Select the Thumbnail File Prefix. The YOOgallery will name the thumbnails like your original files with the prefix at the beginning of the filename.
- Click on Apply.
